Established in 1999, Ceradex Corporation is one of the manufacturers to hold a key technology in development of oxygen sensor in Taiwan. In fact, the company started investing to research and develops oxygen sensor unit way back in 1990. Today, after 18 years of experiences in research, development and manufacturing capability, Ceradex becomes the only manufacturer of produced oxygen sensor as core product, which was tested and received certification from Ford (British branch) that serves as entry to the European and US car’s markets. In order to meet the growing demand, Ceradex has setup manufacturing facilities in Taiwan and China, while serving a lot of customers located in the USA, Canada, UK, Finland, Poland, Sweden, China, Taiwan, Germany, Chile, Brazil, and Mexico as Ceradex receiving high recommendations from these customers

According to Mr. Huang Wei Lung, the sales manager of Ceradex, the main function of oxygen sensor is to detect the amount of oxygen in the fuel injection system in order to produce the right ratio proportion of air-fuel mixture where sampling data are collected in the pipe as it continuous to send right information back to the fuel injection system where the best mixture ratio is set at 14: 1. Therefore, minimizing fuel consumption, producing right mixture that allow engine to run perfectly, thus achieving best energy conservation and further environmental protection.

Huang said for this oxygen sensor unit to achieve better quantity, the company has adopted core technology in magnetism in order to produce precision sensor that accurately measure and examine the inflow air from the pipe. Furthermore, Huang noted that each oxygen sensor must go 100% check accuracy under extreme temperature and different inflow settings, based on specific customer’s demand.

Huang thought that environmental protection is needed as most car makers are developing high efficient vehicle especially to reduce the emission through waste gas, which becoming the unstoppable trend of the auto industry of the future. Furthermore, Chinese government is very strict that requirement car makers to follow standard emission control limit in level II, which still not as strict in emission control limit level III that China wants to achieve in the future. Ceradex is projecting the automobile industry in China to grow in steady rate, which the company perceives to play an important role!
